    Hello Campers,

We are pleased to announce that we are taking applications for the second
annual Anarchy Summer Camp, August 6 – 9, 2010, in northern Virginia. The
specific location will be given after the application has been approved.

The Anarchy Summer Camp will help you prepare for the upcoming International
Monetary Fund demonstrations this fall in Washington, D.C. The camp will
also feature a variety of DIY workshops, physical training exercises, and
    important discussions.

Why oppose the IMF and organize against it? Several years ago, the IMF was
losing global influence. Resistance to its austerity programs was growing and
alternatives to the IMF were increasing. However, the global financial
crisis that began several years ago provided the G20 cover to prop up the
discredited financial institution with more than $500 billion in new
funding, as well as stronger political backing.

The IMF and its backers predicted that people around the world were going to
accept its new demands of budget cutbacks, privatization, and resulting
unemployment and poverty. However, a torrent of resistance has developed on
the streets in cities around the world. The future is unwritten, although
one thing is certain, as things come crashing down, we are going to need to
    be organized and prepared.

The Self Described Anarchist Collective is helping organize demonstrations
against the IMF this October in Washington, D.C. The Anarchy Summer Camp
will prepare participants for the demonstrations through workshops on
international financial institutions, including the IMF, as well as real
life exercises, such as tactical simulations.

The weekend will have workshops divided into a series of tracks like
tactics, issues, theory, physical education, as well as a street medic track
(note: if you come for the street medic training, then you can only take
workshops on that track), and a track for kids.

$10 – $50 per person (sliding scale of course).

You must register early, so we can make sure you have a reserved spot. Please use the form below. If you would like to suggest a workshop or do one yourself, then please let us know.
